Two Sides, Canadian Ambassador for Mental Health, Illness Survivor, Presenter, Teacher & Author

After a diagnosis of Bipolar Disorder at 26, Chris was forced to end his teaching career. Two years later, he was additionally diagnosed with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Generalized Anxiety Disorder. Following these diagnoses, Chris chose to hide his illnesses, keeping them a secret, working as a supply teacher. Working on his healing through numerous therapies, he made his recovery a full-time job.

In 2007, he began to write his memoir, a story about his battle with mental illness. Since the release of his memoir, “Two Sides To The Story: Living A Lie” (Chipmunka Publishing, UK) in 2013, Chris has had the wonderful opportunity of speaking to students and organizations throughout Ontario about the story of his battle with mental illness and remarkable recovery.
